Final Round Central East Football 2026

On 19th of September, Zürich attended the final round of the 2026 Central East Europe Football Championships for both Ladies and Men in Verona. The tournament was also part of the Tocati festival where Ireland was the "host nation" with thousands of people attending. A clip from a Zürich match was even used in the report on RTE News!

Not only did we have 38 players togged out, we also provided two referees, a member of the organizing committee plus several other volunteers on the day.

Our Ladies team once again brought home silverware having won the Shield in Verona. They have now won the Shield in all three European tournaments this year!

We were the only club to field two full mens teams. Our Men A team finished third in the highly competitive Men's Cup. Our Men B team made it to the Mens Shield final where they narrowly lost

Congratulations to our friends from the Bern GAA club who won the Mens Cup on the day.
